In this Expert Forum, Lawrence Tanenbaum, MD, FACR and Suzie Bash, MD review considerations for optimizing contrast-enhanced MRI in neuroimaging, extending from patient tolerance to standardizing procedures. Dr. Tanenbaum is currently the Vice President & Chief Technology Officer, and Medical Director for the Eastern Region at RadNet, Inc., a leading provider of freestanding, fixed-site diagnostic imaging services in the United States. Prior to this role, Dr. Tanenbaum served as Associate Professor of Radiology and Director of MRI/CT & Outpatient / Advanced Imaging Development at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York.
Dr. Tanenbaum has authored approximately 100 scholarly and peer reviewed articles, continues to chair educational and academic meetings and has delivered over 1500 invited lectures around the world.
Suzie Bash, MD

Dr. Bash is the Medical Director of Neuroradiology at San Fernando Valley Interventional Radiology at RADNET. Dr. Bash joined RADNET in 2005. Prior to this she was on the faculty at UCLA as an Assistant Professor of Neuroradiology, after completing a 2-year Neuroradiology Fellowship at UCLA and Radiology Residency also at UCLA.
During her tenure at UCLA, Dr. Bash was the recipient of the Issa Yaghmai Scholarship for best paper published in a peer-reviewed journal; Consultant of the Year Award, issued by the Emergency Department to one UCLA resident a year; as well as the Outstanding Resident Award, issued by Olive View-UCLA to one resident a year. Dr. Bash was awarded James Scholar Honors during her medical school years at University of Illinois.
Dr. Bash’s passion and interests lie in Artificial Intelligence applications in Neuroimaging and other advanced Neuroimaging techniques which add patient-centric value and quality. She is actively involved in AI clinical trials and serves on the medical advisory boards to some outstanding AI companies.
